The "Live in Shanghai" CD Release Party has been announced! Join us Saturday, December 17th at
the Bayou in Washington, DC
for specialty Shanghai cocktails and a live performance by Moonshine Society as we give thanks to everyone who supported the "Blues Around the World Campaign". The band will be available to sign CDs, vinyl, and tshirts in between sets. Show kicks off at 10:00pm.

Moonshine Society has launched the "Blues Around the World" campaign! This project will end on October 8th with the goal of raising $4850 in order to release the album we recorded live in Shanghai, China earlier this year. Please visit the campaign, make a pledge, and consider encouraging others to participate in the campaign. Ends October 8th, 2011.

Congratulations to our design contest winner- The killer design was created by Akbar Hartanto of Indonesia. You can check out his website here. Shirts will be available online starting August 10th and at all live shows.
The band will be performing at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, August 6th. Other festival artists will include Stone Temple Pilots, Maroon 5, Alison Krauss, Al Di Meola, and more!

We're having a blast in Shanghai- Happy Chinese New Year! The band is currently featured on Delta Sky Mag's website, and we recently performed for a private Hollywood feature party at the House of Blues and Jazz. The rumors are true- we opened for The RZA of Wu Tang Clan. We've also just been offered an endorsement from a custom pick guard company- more new to come. Moonshine Society will be performing with Legendary Blues Harmonica player Charlie Sayles at the House of the Blues and Jazz in Shanghai, China from January 2011 till early April 2011. Bon Voyage Bash will be held on Thursday, December 16th at the Surf Club Live in Bladensburg, MD featuring the band, Charlie Sayles, and The Stacy Brooks Band. Tickets are on sale here!

Thank you RJL Memorial Fund! Moonshine Society just got back from Boston where the RJL Team brought them to perform at Gillette Stadium for an amazing "Reloaded" concert. Hosted by The Rockbabe of PIXY103, the concert was a blast. We'll be posting video and photos of the blowout for all you Moonshine lovers!

HUGE news for the band: Internationally acclaimed blues artist Charlie Sayles will be stepping in to the studio to record his seventh album with Moonshine Society as his band. Bridging the generations, the album will be written by Sayles and produced by Black Betty. Check out this W.C. Handy Award nominee at www.charliesayles.com.

Black Betty and Joe Poppen arrived in DC yesterday after performing with Memphis Gold in Guantanamo Bay for their annual Memorial Day Bash! Opening for Puddle of Mud and Drowning Pool, the band had an amazing time meeting the men and women protecting our nation and their families. We'll be posting pics in the gallery.
